Bio

Education:
B.F.A. in Theatre Performance, Valdosta State University
M.F.A. in Theatre Directing, University of Montana

I am a teacher, director and actor originally from Snellville, GA. I have traveled the greater part of North America with the Missoula Children’s Theatre, worked for Tony-Award Winning Hartford Stage in Hartford, CT and directed productions at the Montana Repertory Theatre, the Kazoo School and the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre. I have fronted theatre and art classes at the University of Montana, Anna Maria College and Western Michigan University in addition to teaching here at KCC as adjunct instructor for 3+ years before becoming full-time faculty. I have wanted to be a college theatre instructor since the ripe old age of 13 or so, and I am honored to be working for and with the greater Battle Creek Community here at KCC. When not on campus, I reside in Kalamazoo with my astounding (and beautiful) wife Nicki, my impossibly amazing daughter Etta and my ridiculously photogenic dog, Elwood. As my students will tell you, I am a proud ‘geek-of-all-trades’; besides theatre, I am passionate about film, music, video games, sports and the outdoors.
